A Moment to Reset: Retreat to Embrace Highlights

Last week we teamed up with Embrace Wellness Studio for a truly special event—Retreat to Embrace, a morning designed to celebrate women, nourish the body and mind, and carve out space for self-care.

Set in the beautiful, light-filled studio founded by former Olympic Gymnast Ellie Downie, the event brought together movement, mindfulness, and connection. From the energising Reformer Pilates session to a delicious brunch bowl from the team at Koeks  the entire morning felt like a deep breath at the end of a busy week.

What the morning included:

  •  A rejuvenating Reformer Pilates class to reconnect with the body
  • A nourishing brunch—because wellness starts from within
  • A chance to explore The Retreat’s spa-inspired products with hands-on demos
  • Thoughtfully curated Retreat goodie bags to take a little calm home

We were especially proud to gift 10 incredible women free spots to join us—a small gesture to remind them (and all of us) that we deserve to take time for ourselves. The stories shared in the lead-up were moving and powerful reminder of why self-care is so important.

A Shared Vision of Wellness

For Ellie, movement has always been a form of self-expression and resilience. As a former elite gymnast and Olympian, her journey led her to create Embrace Wellness Studio—a space where people of all levels can build strength, confidence, and inner calm.

“True wellness isn’t just about pushing limits; it’s about balance, strength, and finding moments of calm.” — Ellie, Founder of Embrace Wellness Studio

That philosophy aligns perfectly with The Retreat’s mission—to make self-care an accessible, everyday ritual. Whether it’s through our calming wellbeing mists or nourishing body butter, we believe in bringing the serenity of the spa into your home routine. This collaboration was a reflection of those shared values.

To everyone who joined us: thank you. Whether you moved, sipped, stretched, or simply showed up for yourself—we’re so glad you came. And if you missed it? Don’t worry. Follow us on social media to be first to hear about our future events.
